The 15-member squad of the Pakistan cricket team has been finalized for the ICC T20 World Cup. According to Tamasha, the Selection Commission has fully agreed, and the official announcement of the squad is expected soon.
It is said that former captain Babar Azam is once again improving and is being made a part of the squad to gain the trust of the selectors.
It has also been reported from the squad that the inclusion of fast bowler Haris Rauf and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan in the team is doubtful, as there are questions on both.
Captain Salman Ali Agha has been given the responsibility in the possible squad, while Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub will also be part of the team.
In addition, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Muhammad Nawaz, and Abrar Ahmed have also been included.
Usman Khan will join the batting line-up, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Usman Tariq, and Salman Mirza are likely to be given the responsibility of fast bowling.
According to sources, all-rounders Wasim Junior, Abdul Samad, and Hasan Ali have been kept in the list of reserve players so that the team can have alternatives available in any emergency.
The selection committee says that the squad has been selected keeping in mind the balance of the team, recent performance, and the conditions of the World Cup.
Cricket fans are now focused on the official announcement of the Pakistan Cricket Board, after which it will be clear which players will represent Pakistan in the World Cup and which ones have been given final trust.
