Indian Air Force training plane crashes

An Indian Air Force plane crashed during a routine training flight in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, and both pilots ejected in time and were safe, according to Indian media.

The Indian Air Force says that the accident occurred during a routine flying exercise, but fortunately, no civilian casualties or property damage were reported on the ground.

In videos from the crash site, the wreckage of the plane was seen scattered on the ground, while some parts were also on fire. In another video, the pilots were seen ejecting safely.

According to the Indian Air Force, the causes of the accident have not yet been determined; however, a court of inquiry has been established to fully investigate the incident, which will examine the causes and circumstances of the accident.

The accident comes at a time when the Indian Air Force’s training aircraft have suffered several accidents in recent months.

It may be recalled that in November last year, a Pilatus PC-7 training aircraft crashed during a routine exercise in Tambaram near Chennai, in which the pilot ejected safely.

Similarly, in March last year, an Indian Air Force Jaguar fighter aircraft crashed due to a technical fault near the Panchkula district of Haryana, in which the pilot ejected safely by taking the aircraft away from the population.
