The traffic system in the city is once again surrounded by questions, as the rate of traffic accidents in Karachi has increased to an alarming level in the year 2025. More than 850 people died in traffic accidents, while more than 12,000 were injured.
According to rescue officials, 44 people died in a dumper collision, 99 people lost their lives in a trailer collision, 60 people died in a water tanker collision, 20 people died in a Mazda collision, and 33 deaths were reported in a bus collision.
The dead include more than 660 men, 87 women, 73 children and 22 girls.
The injured include more than 9,000 men, more than 1,800 women, more than 550 children and more than 165 girls.
Citizens say that violations of traffic rules and poor infrastructure are the main reasons for the increase in accidents.
Police and related agencies are taking emergency measures, but the safety of citizens is still a big challenge.
