Eight Indian-sponsored terrorists killed in Kalat operation: ISPR

Security forces killed eight Indian-sponsored militants in a successful operation carried out in Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

According to the ISPR, an intelligence-based operation was conducted on December 24 in the Kalat district of Balochistan after reports indicated the presence of militants affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan in the area.

During the operation, a fierce exchange of fire took place between security forces and the armed militants, resulting in the killing of eight terrorists.

Their hideout was also effectively targeted and destroyed.

The slain militants were linked to the Indian-sponsored terror network and were involved in activities against security forces.

Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, the ISPR stated.

Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area as a relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision (as approved by the Apex Committee on National Action Plan), by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
