Pakistan’s victorious Under-19 cricket team, which defeated India to lift the Asia Cup, met Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at GHQ Rawalpindi on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir congratulated the players, team management, and officials on their historic achievement, calling the triumph a matter of pride for the entire nation.
He praised the team’s discipline, teamwork, and fighting spirit, emphasising that their dedication reflects the immense potential of Pakistan’s youth.
Speaking to the players, the Field Marshal urged them to maintain professional standards and serve as ambassadors of Pakistan both on and off the field.
He highlighted that empowering young people is key to national development and that their energy and character shape the country’s global image.
The Under-19 team members expressed gratitude for Field Marshal Munir’s encouragement and support, acknowledging that the recognition would motivate them to work harder and strive for further success.
