ODI series: Clinical Pakistan complete 3-0 clean sweep against Sri Lanka

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the third and final ODI in Rawalpindi on Sunday, completing a clean sweep of the series.

Chasing a target of 212, Pakistan reached the score in the 45th over.

Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman struck impressive half-centuries for Pakistan.

Earlier, Pakistan’s bowlers delivered a strong performance, bowling out Sri Lanka for 211 in 46 overs.

Mohammad Wasim Jr picked up three wickets, while Haris Rauf and Faisal Akram claimed two each.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first. Sri Lanka’s openers Pathum Nissanka (24) and Kamil Mishara (29) were dismissed early.

Sadeera Samarawickrama top-scored with 48, while captain Kusal Mendis made 34 and Pawan Rathnayake added 32.

In reply, Fakhar Zaman scored 55, while Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten on 61.

Hussain Talat also contributed with an unbeaten 43 to guide Pakistan to victory.
