Jordan’s King Abdullah to arrive in Pakistan on two-day visit today

Jordan’s King Abdullah II will undertake an official visit to Pakistan on November 15 and 16 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

During his stay, King Abdullah II will hold important meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which the two sides will review all aspects of bilateral relations.

A special ceremony will also be held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where the Jordanian leader will be conferred Pakistan’s highest civil award.

Officials say the visit will further strengthen the long-standing ties between Pakistan and Jordan and play a significant role in expanding the scope of bilateral cooperation.

According to sources, King Abdullah II is currently in Indonesia on a two-day visit as part of his broader Asia tour, which also included stops in Japan, Vietnam and Singapore. His regional tour will conclude in Pakistan.
