Two brothers were killed and at least 11 passengers injured when a speeding passenger coach overturned near Sharjah Market on Hub River Road in Karachi on Thursday.
According to rescue officials, 16-year-old Ali Shah and his 19-year-old brother Daniyal, who were riding a motorcycle, died on the spot after being hit by the overturned coach.
The injured passengers were taken to Civil Hospital for treatment.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene and pulled out trapped passengers from the damaged vehicle. Officials said the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the speeding coach.
The crash caused a major traffic jam on Hub River Road, with long queues of vehicles stretching to nearby areas.
Police have impounded the coach and launched an investigation into the incident.
