The dengue outbreak has intensified across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 80 new confirmed cases reported during the past 24 hours, official sources said on Thursday.
According to a report issued by the provincial health department, 29 new patients were admitted to various hospitals across the province during the same period.
The total number of active dengue cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reached 367, with 42 patients currently under treatment in different hospitals.
District-wise data showed that Nowshera and Mardan each have 13 dengue patients, while Charsadda has seven, Kohat six, and Swabi two.
So far this year, 5,150 dengue cases have been reported across the province, out of which 1,848 patients were hospitalised, while 4,781 have recovered.
The health department confirmed that two dengue-related deaths have occurred in the province this year.
