Arrest warrants issued for Asad Qaiser, Shibli Faraz and Omar Ayub

Islamabad’s Anti-Terrorism Court on Wednesday issued arrest warrants for senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Asad Qaiser, Shibli Faraz, and Omar Ayub.

The courts directed authorities to arrest and present them by November 11.

During the hearing of a case registered at the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station, ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra issued arrest warrants for the PTI leaders over charges of terrorism, incitement, and disturbing public order.

The court noted that the accused had repeatedly ignored the summons.

Non-bailable arrest warrants for Gandapur

Separately, Additional District and Sessions Judge Nasr Minallah Baloch issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Ali Amin Gandapur in the audio leak case.

The court ordered his arrest and appearance, as the former chief minister failed to attend proceedings.

The indictment was postponed due to his absence, and the next hearing was scheduled for December 5.

The case relates to a 2022 audio leak from PTI’s long march, allegedly featuring Gandapur in a conversation discussing weapons. The FIR in the matter was registered at Golra police station.
