In 2005, Stephenie Meyer released her novel Twilight, which later turned into a blockbuster movie series and became a global franchise.
Now, Robert Pattinson, who played Edward Cullen in the films, has reflected on the milestone.
Speaking about the franchise’s impact, he said:
“It’s incredible. I still can’t believe how long this movie has stayed relevant. It’s mind-blowing, and honestly, very cool. There aren’t many things from that time that people still talk about. I get asked about it every day, which is amazing. I have really good memories from that period, and I’m very grateful for it.”
During his conversation with Extra TV, Robert also discussed his chemistry with Jennifer Lawrence, his co-star in Die My Love.
“We’ve known people in each other’s circle for years, so it always felt like eventually we’d work together,” he shared.
“I always thought she was hilarious in interviews and naturally talented. When we spoke for the first time, we clicked right away. We were like, ‘Oh, we actually like each other.’”
Die My Love is set to hit theatres on November 7.
