Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam has become the leading run-scorer in T20 International cricket, surpassing India’s Rohit Sharma during the second T20 match against South Africa at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Babar reached the milestone after scoring an unbeaten 11 runs, taking his career tally to 4,232 runs in 123 innings, moving past Rohit Sharma’s 4,231 runs from 151 innings.
The Pakistan skipper achieved the feat as his team cruised to a nine-wicket victory over South Africa to level the series 1–1.
Known for his consistency and elegant stroke play, Babar continues to rewrite record books across formats. His latest achievement further cements his reputation as one of the modern greats of world cricket.
Earlier in the match, Pakistan’s bowlers dismissed South Africa for 110 before Saim Ayub’s unbeaten 71 powered the hosts to a comfortable win inside 14 overs.
