Polling is underway in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly for the by-election to a vacant Senate seat that fell vacant following the disqualification of Shibli Faraz.
According to officials, a total of 141 provincial assembly members are eligible to cast their votes.
Polling began earlier today and will continue until 4pm.
The contest is between Khurram Zeeshan of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Taj Afridi, the joint candidate of the opposition parties.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly currently comprises 92 members from the PTI and 49 from the opposition benches.
The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced a boycott of the by-election.
The Senate seat became vacant after PTI leader Shibli Faraz was disqualified from holding office earlier this year.
