Scarlett Johansson has revealed the “outrageous” request her daughter Rose once made, one that left the actress both amused and impressed.

Speaking on a new episode of Busy Philipps’ Busy This Week podcast, the Black Widow star said her daughter had asked for a custom-made Marie Antoinette gown when she was eight.

“My daughter asked for a Marie Antoinette gown,” Johansson recalled, as quoted by People.

To fulfil her daughter’s wish, the actress searched Etsy and found a talented dressmaker in Ukraine.

“This woman, who made costumes for operas in Ukraine, created a two-measure, full opera-like Marie Antoinette dress with a hoop skirt and corset for my daughter,” she said.

Johansson described the dress as “outrageous” but added that it was designed to grow with Rose over time.

“You can let it out so she’ll wear it for years, and she still puts it on and looks so cute,” she added.

The actress, who shares Rose with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, also revealed that her daughter wore the gown to her wedding.

“She actually wore it to my wedding, which was really spectacular,” Johansson said.

“She had her little dress on, then suddenly went, ‘Change me now.’

And I was like, in the middle of the wedding, ‘We’ll be right back there’s a costume change for Rose.’”
