KP CM Afridi, PTI leaders denied meeting with party founder for third time at Adiala Jail

The day designated for meetings with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail once again saw several senior party figures, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, denied access.

Despite being on the approved visitors’ list, the chief minister was not allowed to meet the PTI founder for the third consecutive time.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja, and several provincial assembly members accompanied CM Afridi to the prison but were stopped by police at the Dahgal checkpoint.

Meanwhile, the PTI founder’s sister, Dr Uzma Khan, was the only family member permitted to meet him. She entered the prison through Gate No. 5, while other sisters, Aleema Khan and Noreen Khan, were also present but not allowed inside.

Heavy security was deployed around Adiala Jail during the visiting hours.

As the scheduled time for meetings ended, PTI leaders and supporters left the area after being denied entry.
