Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made their first public appearance as a couple on Saturday, attending a cabaret show at ‘Crazy Horse Paris’ to celebrate the singer’s 41st birthday.
Media outlets reported that the event marked the pair’s first public outing since rumours of their relationship began circulating earlier this year.
Thirty Mile Zone (TMZ) reported that Perry and Trudeau were seen leaving the venue hand in hand following the performance.
Perry wore a bright red dress, while Trudeau chose an all-black outfit as they enjoyed their evening in the French capital.
The sighting came days after renewed speculation sparked by photos published by the Daily Mail, showing the two aboard Perry’s yacht, the Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara.
In the images, Perry, dressed in a dark swimsuit, was seen kissing Trudeau, who appeared shirtless in jeans.
The pictures, reportedly taken from a nearby whale-watching boat, further fuelled talk of their growing closeness.
The pair first drew attention in July when they were spotted dining together in Montreal, followed by Trudeau’s quiet appearance at one of Perry’s concerts. Both recently ended long-term relationships.
Perry separated from actor Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, announced their split in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
Despite mixed reviews of her recent work, Perry remains an active performer.
Her ongoing Lifetimes Tour, which began in Mexico City in April in support of her album 143, includes stops across North America, Australia, and Europe.
Perry marked her October 25 birthday with a light-hearted Instagram post referencing her “release” by her mother, comparing it to an album drop. Earlier in the week, she had shared a playful message welcoming Scorpio season.
Their Paris outing now appears to confirm what months of quiet sightings and speculation had hinted — that Perry and Trudeau’s relationship has moved from rumour to reality.
