An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Monday issued for the fifth time non-bailable arrest warrants for Aleema Khan, the sister of former prime minister Imran Khan, in a case related to the November 26 protest.
Despite the issuance of non-bailable warrants earlier, Aleema Khan did not appear before the court on Monday.
The court has now reissued the warrants for the fifth time. No lawyer appeared on her behalf either.
Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah appeared before the court along with his team.
The court was informed that Aleema Khan’s national identity card, passport, and bank accounts had already been blocked, while reports have been sought from NADRA, the Passport and Immigration Department, and the State Bank of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, five witnesses and 10 other accused named in the case were present in court.
The hearing was conducted by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah, who adjourned further proceedings till October 30.
