Gold prices witnessed a sharp rise, continuing their historic rally as rates touched new peaks in Pakistan’s bullion market amid a significant surge in international prices.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold soared by Rs5,800 per tola, reaching an unprecedented Rs440,900. Likewise, the rate of 10 grams surged by Rs4,972 to settle at Rs378,000.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $58 per ounce to reach $4,198.
Silver prices also followed suit, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs90 to Rs5,337, while 10 grams rose by Rs77 to Rs4,575. Globally, silver traded at $52.50 per ounce.
