The upward rally in gold prices continued on Tuesday as both local and international rates soared to record highs.
In the local market, the price of 10 grams of gold surged by Rs5,916, reaching Rs373,028, while the per tola rate jumped by Rs6,900 to an all-time high of Rs435,100.
In the international market, gold gained $69 per ounce, climbing to a historic peak of $4,140, as per the rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Meanwhile, the silver price per tola remained the same at Rs5,247.
On Monday, the gold price per tola reached Rs428,200 after an increase of Rs5,500 during the day.
According to market analysts, the surge comes amid global economic uncertainty and a weaker dollar, driving investors toward safe-haven assets like gold.
