In the last group-stage match of the Asia Cup 2025, India beat Oman by 21 runs after a smooth and resilient fight back by the Gulf country batters.

Winning the toss, India put a gigantic total of 188 runs at the loss of eight wickets in twenty overs as Sanju Samson shone for his time, playing a 56-run knock.

Opener Abhishek Sharma made 39 runs, while Tilak Verma added 29 runs for India.

Oman bowlers Shah Faisal, Jiten Ramanandi, and Aamir Kaleem grabbed a couple of wickets each.

Chasing the target of 189 runs, Oman openers Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem provided a smooth but relatively slow start to the innings.

Hammad Mirza played a brilliant innings of 51 runs on 33 deliveries, bringing his team close to the target.

Despite having wickets in hand, Oman couldn’t manage to reach the target as they were stuck at 167 runs after losing four wickets in the allotted overs.
