A powerful explosion near Karak city has resulted in the destruction of a gas pipeline.

Police report that unknown individuals planted a bomb near the pipeline on the Indus Highway late last night.

The blast was so intense that it shook the surrounding area, causing a suspension of gas supply to nearby regions.
