Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a record high on Tuesday, following gains in the international market.
According to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold rose by Rs4,700 to reach Rs391,000 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs4,030, hitting a new peak of Rs335,219.
A day earlier, gold rates in the local market had held steady at Rs386,300 per tola.
In the global market, bullion prices also strengthened, with prices rising $49 to $3,692 per ounce, including a $20 premium, the association stated.
