Rain lashed various parts of Karachi on Monday morning, bringing relief from the heat but also causing disruption in several low-lying areas.
Areas including PECH Society, Do Talwar, Saddar, Guru Mandir, Lasbela, Golimar, Nazimabad, and surrounding neighbourhoods experienced consistent showers.
Light rain and drizzle were also reported in Defence, Korangi, Shahrah-e-Faisal, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Other parts of the city, including Qayyumabad, Mehmoodabad, Manzoor Colony, Baloch Colony, Burns Road, and MA Jinnah Road, also reported drizzle throughout the morning.
Some private schools in the city announced closures due to the weather.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast heavy rain in certain parts of Karachi later today.
In other parts of Sindh, including Larkana, Naushahro Feroze, and Sehwan, heavy rains have already been recorded, resulting in urban flooding in low-lying areas.
In response to the ongoing weather conditions, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a rain alert for Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan from today until September 10.
Citizens have been advised to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay updated through official weather bulletins.
