An anti-terrorism court in Karachi on Thursday extended the physical remand of Chanesar Town chairman Farhan Ghani by three days in a case related to violence and issuing threats to a government employee.
Farhan Ghani and the other accused were presented before the court by the police. The court expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of progress in the investigation into the case.
The court ordered that the accused be presented before it on August 30 and asked the police to submit a progress report on the investigation at the next hearing.
According to the police, the case against the accused has been registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
It is worth noting that Farhan Ghani, the brother of PPP Minister Saeed Ghani, had surrendered in a case involving the assault of a government employee.
