Gold prices in Pakistan declined sharply on Tuesday, mirroring a downward trend in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs1,500, closing at Rs358,000. The rate for 10 grams also dropped by Rs1,286 to Rs306,927.
The price per tola on Monday increased by Rs500 to Rs359,500.
In the international market, gold was priced at $3,353 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a decrease of $15.
Meanwhile, silver registered a modest gain, rising by Rs18 per tola to settle at Rs3,971.
