Kashmiris to observe Black Day today across LoC and worldwide

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC), as well as those living in Pakistan and around the world, will observe Kashmir Exploitation Day on Tuesday, August 5, to mark their protest against the unilateral and unlawful actions taken by the Modi-led Indian government in 2019.

According to the Kashmir Media Service, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has urged the Kashmiri people to observe the day as Black Day, aiming to send a strong message to the world that India continues its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, and that Kashmiris remain resolute in their demand for the right to self-determination.

The Hurriyat leadership condemned the August 5, 2019 decisions as a direct assault on Kashmir’s unique identity, culture, and demographic makeup, calling on the international community to raise its voice in support of the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir.

ISPR releases song

In solidarity, Pakistan’s military media wing, ISPR, has released a powerful new anthem titled “Insanon Ke Jahan Mein” (In the World of Humanity), reflecting the unyielding spirit of the Kashmiri freedom struggle and Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the cause.

The song calls for justice and highlights the persistent Indian state oppression in the region.

To mark the day, a one-minute silence will be observed across Pakistan at 10.00am as a symbolic gesture of unity with the Kashmiri people. In preparation, the Federal Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Saffron, as well as the Punjab Home Department, have issued formal instructions to all concerned departments.

According to officials, Punjab Police, Prison Departments, and other field formations have also been directed to participate in the silent protest, reinforcing the message that the entire Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Kashmir in their just struggle.
