Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Saturday, tracking gains in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs6,100, reaching Rs359,000, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs5,229 to settle at Rs307,784.
A day earlier, gold had seen a modest decline, with the price per tola slipping by Rs100 to Rs352,900.
Globally, gold also witnessed a significant increase. The international price stood at $3,363 per ounce, reflecting a gain of $61, including a $20 premium, as reported by APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market also edged up. The price per tola rose by Rs53, closing at Rs3,953.
