The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the schedule for by-elections in three key constituencies of the National and Punjab Assemblies.
According to the official statement, the polling is scheduled for September 18, 2025.

The NA-66 seat fell vacant after the disqualification of PTI MNA Ahmed Chattha, while PP-87 Mianwali was vacated due to the disqualification of Ahmed Khan Bhachar, the Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly. The NA-129 Lahore seat became vacant following the demise of MNA Mian Azhar.
According to the ECP, nomination papers can be submitted by August 6, and a provisional list of candidates will be published on August 7.
Election symbols will be allotted on August 26.
