Postmortem confirmed killing by torture, strangling after the exhumation of the woman’s body murdered on the orders of the local jirga conducted on Monday.

According to the initial report, there were visible signs of torture on her head and face, as she was also strangled to death.

Sources also revealed that the woman’s face appeared bruised and blue when her body was exhumed for autopsy.

The postmortem report confirmed strangulation as the cause of death, and also noted severe physical abuse.

Rawalpindi police have arrested five more suspects in connection with the case as the total number of arrests has now reached nine.
