UAE grants visa-free entry for Pakistani diplomatic and official passport holders

The United Arab Emirates has granted visa-free access to Pakistani diplomatic and official passport holders.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has also lifted the visa requirement for Emirati government officials.

In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Ishaq Dar said that during a meeting with UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on June 24, 2025, in Abu Dhabi, an agreement was reached to grant visa exemption to holders of diplomatic and official passports from both countries.

Dar said that both sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to activate these measures, and the signed memorandum would become effective 30 days after the day of signing.

The deputy prime minister said that the UAE authorities have activated the visa exemption for holders of Pakistani diplomatic and official passports to enter the UAE. This will apply to all UAE passports from July 25, 2025.

Dar further said that visa exemption will also be applicable for citizens of the United Arab Emirates at all airports in Pakistan.
