Hammad Azhar ends his hiding to attend father’s funeral

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Hammad Azhar, who had been in hiding for months, on Wednesday reappeared in public to attend the funeral of his father.

Hammad Azhar reached his residence to attend the funeral prayers of his father, Mian Muhammad Azhar.

Hammad went into hiding after he was nominated in several cases related to the May 9 violence.

He is wanted in many cases by police and authorities after May 9 cases challans carrying his name were submitted in courts.

Meanwhile, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Mian Muhammad Azhar, the former governor of Punjab, and expressed sympathy to his family.

Nawaz Sharif said that Mian Azhar’s father and his father, Mian Muhammad Sharif, had a long-standing relationship.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also expressed grief over the death of Mian Azhar.
