Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp increase on Monday, with the rate of 24-karat gold rising by Rs3,600 per tola, bringing the new price to Rs361,200, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.
The surge comes in response to a significant uptick in international gold rates, which continue to impact local bullion markets.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also climbed by Rs3,087, reaching Rs309,671.
Meanwhile, in the international market, the price of gold rose by $36 per ounce, hitting $3,387.
