A notification has been issued in the federal capital concerning the price of sugar.

As per the announcement, the retail price for sugar in Islamabad is set at Rs172 per kilogram, with an ex-mill rate of Rs165 per kilogram.

The notification warns that strict legal action will be taken against any violations of these price regulations.

Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon has instructed all Assistant Commissioners to enforce compliance, emphasizing that a crackdown will target those charging prices above the established rate list.

He also encouraged citizens to adhere to the listed price when buying sugar and to report any vendors who are overcharging.
