Rising water levels in Indus River trigger medium-level flood

The water level in the Indus River is on the rise, with a medium-level flood reported at the Guddu Barrage.

The Irrigation Department and control room recorded an inflow of 355,283 cusecs and an outflow of 315,558 cusecs.

According to sources from the Irrigation Department, further increases in the river’s water level are anticipated due to recent monsoon rains.

Authorities have been advised to remain vigilant and implement necessary safety measures.

The district administration has also urged residents, especially those living near the riverbanks, to take precautions and relocate to safer areas.
