Tehran erupts in celebration as thousands mark victory over Israel

Thousands of Iranians poured into the streets of Tehran on Tuesday and celebrated the victory, transforming Enqelab Square into a sea of national flags and jubilation.

The crowds chanted slogans in support of the Iranian armed forces, celebrating what many are calling a “victory” against a more powerful adversary.

Citizens expressed strong confidence in the country’s military, with several declaring that Iran had given a firm and worthy response to enemy aggression.

Many participants said the nation stood united and would continue to defend its sovereignty at all costs.

The atmosphere in the capital turned festive, echoing with patriotic anthems and waving flags, as families and youth gathered in large numbers to mark what was described as a moment of national pride.

Media reports also noted that residents who had moved to other cities due to air strikes are now beginning to return to their homes, signaling a return to relative calm.

One resident from Shiraz stated, “I’m relieved this unnecessary war is over — we, the people, paid the price.”
