The government has raised petrol prices by Rs1 per litre ahead of Eid, while diesel prices will remain unchanged, according to a new notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.

As per the official notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Re1, bringing the new rate to Rs253.63 per litre. However, there has been no change in the price of high-speed diesel, which will remain at Rs254.64 per litre.

The revised prices of petroleum products take effect from 12:00 AM tonight. The notification outlines that the adjustment has been made as part of the government’s regular review of fuel prices.
