Field Marshal Munir hosts dinner attended by top political leadership

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Saturday hosted a dinner attended by President, Prime Minister, and key political leaders, reflecting a unified national front and appreciation for the armed forces.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the participants praised the sacrifices and bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces. The gathering also paid tribute to wise leadership in times of national trials.

The Army Chief lauded the coordination and successes of the military and highlighted the event as a reflection of national determination. Field Marshal Asim Munir also acknowledged the passion of Pakistani youth and recognized the unwavering role of the media.

The ISPR released the following press statement:

A dinner was hosted by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief ofArmy Staff, to honour the political leadership, steadfast commitmentof the Armed Forces, and the indomitable spirit of the people ofPakistan as demonstrated during Marka-e-Haq, Operation BunyanumMarsoos.

The distinguished gathering was graced by the Honourable President ofPakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari; the Honourable Prime Minister, Mr.Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif; Deputy Prime Minister/ Foreign Minister;Chairman Senate; Speaker National Assembly; Federal Ministers;Governors; Chief Ministers; Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee;Chief of Air & Naval Staff; senior leadership of major politicalparties; high-ranking government officials; and senior officers fromthe three Services.

Participants paid tribute to the sagacious leadership that steered thenation through a defining moment, hailed the courage and sacrifice ofthe Armed Forces, and commended the resolute patriotism of thePakistani people.

In his remarks, the Chief of Army Staff expressed profound gratitudeto the political leadership for their strategic foresight duringMarka-e-Haq and lauded the seamless inter-services coordination thatensured operational success in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.

He further acknowledged the unwavering role of Pakistani youth andmedia in countering the disinformation campaign waged by India,describing them as a ‘steel wall’ against malign propaganda. The COASalso commended the outstanding contributions of Pakistani scientists,engineers, and diplomats, whose professionalism and resolve provedcritical during the conflict.

The evening stood as a powerful affirmation of national unity and thecollective resolve to advance with renewed strength and cohesion.
