Karachi is currently experiencing intense heat, with the Meteorological Department predicting temperatures to reach 37 degrees Celsius.
The heat index is expected to feel as high as 45 degrees, making conditions particularly uncomfortable for residents.
Sea breezes are anticipated to resume within the next 24 hours, blowing at speeds between 10 to 25 kilometers per hour. However, high humidity levels will make the heat feel more intense.
Furthermore, the department has indicated that temperatures are anticipated to rise even more starting May 20, which is likely to exacerbate the already high levels of discomfort in the city.

The Meteorological Office warns of a severe heat wave affecting most parts of the country over the next 2 to 3 days, with temperatures projected to be around 7 degrees above normal.
In Islamabad, hot weather is expected throughout the day, with a possibility of rain in the evening. Sindh could see temperatures soar up to 48 degrees Celsius, while Balochistan will experience strong winds alongside the extreme heat.
Rain is also forecasted for the evening in Rawalpindi, Murree, and Galiyat, with thunderstorms likely in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
