PTI chairman refutes reports of backdoor talks, deal

On Thursday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has strongly refuted reports suggesting that former prime minister Imran Khan has entered into any political deal or compromise to secure relief in his ongoing legal cases.

Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament House, Islamabad, the PTI chairman made it clear that neither the party leadership nor Imran Khan himself has struck any deal with the establishment or government. He said such reports are baseless, misleading, and part of a deliberate disinformation campaign aimed at creating confusion among PTI supporters.

Barrister Gohar maintained that Imran Khan remains committed to his stance on the supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law, and the holding of free and fair elections. He added that Khan’s legal team is actively pursuing all cases through lawful means, and the party has no intention of seeking backdoor arrangements or political bargains.

The statement comes amid speculations in the media and political circles that Imran Khan, currently incarcerated, may have softened his position in exchange for potential relief in some of the cases pending against him.
