The National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue approved the report on the revised Tax Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024, on Wednesday.
This bill introduces stringent restrictions on the financial activities of non-filers, set to take effect on July 1 as part of the upcoming Finance Bill 2025-26.
Notably, the revised bill eliminates the valuation threshold for immovable properties held by non-filers, allowing for enhanced enforcement measures.
