Indian escalation leaves 32 civilians dead, 63 injured, DG ISPR confirms
Pakistan has taken down a total of 77 drone and five aircraft since Tuesday night. Information Minister Ataullah Tarar declared Pakistan’s victory in conventional warfare on Friday.
There was an exchange of fire on the LOC between Pakistani and Indian forces, however, Pakistan has refuted claims by Indian army or TV channels that it launched a massive swarm drone strike or missile raid on Indian-held Kashmir or India.
The LOC clashes left five civilian martyred in Kotli, including an infant. At least 12 were injured, said the local police officials.
Indian media went into a propaganda frenzy on Thursday night. It claimed that Indian navy had destroyed Karachi port and Lahore had been attacked by India. All of this was a pack of lies, of course. Life runs normal in Pakistan, though air traffic was affected on Friday as Gulf airlines suspended flights to the country.. Indian TV channels, including India Today, had to delete posts and tweets on Friday morning.
Indian media also claimed that Pakistan launched an air raid from Bhuj in southwestern India to Kashmir in the north. Pakistan has also categorically denied this.
Pakistani forces shot down at least six drones earlier this morning in Punjab’s Okara and Pakpattan. Both cities are located close to Indian border.
US Secretary of State has indicated that Washington will not intervene in the India Pakistan conflict.
