Pakistan Foreign Office has issued a statement after Indian missile attacks. A statement issued by the ministry of foreign affairs said Pakistan reserve the rights to respond appropriately at a time and place of its choosing.
The following is the text of the statement.
In an unprovoked and blatant act of war, the Indian Air Force, whileremaining within Indian airspace, has violated Pakistan’s sovereigntyusing standoff weapons, targeting civilian population acrossinternational border in Muridke and Bahawalpur, and across Line ofControl in Kotli and Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. India’s actof aggression has resulted in martyrdom of civilians, including womenand children. This act of aggression has also caused grave threat tocommercial air traffic.
We strongly condemn India’s cowardly action, which is a flagrantviolation of the UN Charter, international law, and established normsof inter-state relations.
In the wake of Pahalgam attack, the Indian leadership has once againused the bogey of terrorism to advance its sham narrative ofvictimhood, jeopardizing regional peace and security. India’s recklessaction has brought the two nuclear-armed states closer to a majorconflict.
The situation continues to evolve. Pakistan reserves the right torespond appropriately at a time and place of its choosing, inaccordance with the Article-51 of the UN Charter, and as enshrined ininternational law.
The government, armed forces and people of Pakistan stand united inthe face of Indian aggression. They will always act with iron resolveto protect and preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity ofPakistan.
