PM Shehbaz visits ISI HQ, gets detailed security briefing amid Indian aggression

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday paid a key visit to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Headquarters, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and the chiefs of the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force.

During the visit, the top civil and military leadership received a comprehensive briefing on the country’s security situation, focusing on preparations to counter conventional threats in light of India’s increasingly aggressive and provocative posture along the eastern border.

The briefing covered regional security developments and emerging threats, including conventional military challenges, hybrid warfare tactics, and terrorism proxies.

The premier and the accompanying leadership underscored the need to enhance national vigilance, ensure seamless inter-agency coordination, and strengthen operational readiness to counter any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity with a decisive response.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to defend the homeland against all threats—conventional or otherwise—the national leadership expressed full confidence in the armed forces’ ability to safeguard the country’s dignity and sovereignty with the support of the people and in coordination with all elements of national power.
