If India makes any move, we will respond with full force, reiterates DG ISPR

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has exposed India’s false narrative around the recent Pahalgam attack, stating that terrorism has no religion and that the assault was used by India to serve political ends.

Addressing a joint press conference alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, the DG ISPR said India was quick to blame Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack without any investigation, a move that hints at a pre-planned false flag operation.

“The Pahalgam incident occurred 230 kilometres from the Line of Control in a remote, mountainous area. How was it possible to reach the police station, file an FIR, and return to the scene in under ten minutes?” he questioned, calling the swift Indian narrative “highly suspicious”.

General Chaudhry added that the FIR alleged the attackers were directed from across the border and targeted Muslims in indiscriminate firing, which contradicted ground realities. “Terrorists have no religion. Interestingly, the loudest doubts about this incident have come from within India itself,” he said.

Highlighting digital evidence, he revealed that a particular Indian social media account had posted clues about an impending attack, even mentioning the name “Fitna Al Khawaj”, hours before the Pahalgam incident. The same account had posted ahead of other attacks, including the Jaffar Express blast, raising serious questions about prior knowledge and intent.

The DG ISPR said India used the Pahalgam incident to push multiple agendas — undermining Pakistan’s counterterrorism success, derailing economic recovery, and even threatening the Indus Waters Treaty. “Blame Pakistan, claim the credit, win the election — this is the political cycle India is following,” he said.

Condemning the Modi government’s communalization of the incident, General Chaudhry said Indian Muslims faced backlash following the attack, even though the first person to die in the assault was a Muslim, who was trying to rescue others.

He further stated that hundreds of Pakistani prisoners in Indian jails are being killed in staged encounters. “Following the Pahalgam incident, two Kashmiri youth — Farooq and Muhammad Dini — were killed in a fake encounter in Uri. Photos of polished shoes next to a planted weapon exposed the fabrication,” he revealed.

Dar warns of strong response, says India yet to provide evidence against Pakistan

On terrorism inside Pakistan, General Chaudhry disclosed that since January 2024, there have been 3,700 terrorist incidents, resulting in 1,314 martyrs and 2,582 injuries. The armed forces have conducted 192 operations, eliminating over 16,000 terrorists. He held India responsible for supporting such activities, adding that in Indian-occupied Kashmir, 50 homes have been bulldozed and 2,000 people abducted.

“India calls Kashmir an internal matter and portrays terrorism as a foreign issue. The truth is the opposite,” he said, asserting that Pakistan is fully prepared to defend itself in every domain — land, air, or sea. “If any move is made, we will respond with full force. We are ready for all threats simultaneously.”
