Pakistani fashion designer Mahmood Ahmad Tahir Bhatti is currently embroiled in a serious legal crisis.
His alleged fourth wife has initiated a maintenance case in the family court of Lahore, accusing him of misrepresenting his previous marriages and providing false information on their marriage certificate. This has resulted in significant complications in his personal life.
Court documents reveal that the case (number 83041225) was filed on March 6, under “maintenance claims.” Humaira, the plaintiff, is seeking a monthly maintenance payment of Rs1 million from Bhatti.
In her petition, Humaira claims that she married Bhatti on March 10, 2022, in Lahore, but soon after, he began to display a cruel demeanor towards her. She also noted that the marriage certificate listed one prior marriage and three children.
However, during the marriage registration process in France, it was uncovered that Bhatti had already divorced three women.
Humaira asserts that this deception has caused her severe mental distress. She stated that Bhatti expelled her from their home six months ago, and despite her repeated attempts to reach out, he has failed to meet his obligations.
She has requested the court to mandate Bhatti to provide maintenance, as she is currently living with her parents after being forced out.
