The Motorway Police has arrested two suspects near Multan for cutting a security fence and location boards.
A spokesperson for the Motorway Police reported that individuals were reported through the helpline 130 for suspicious activity.
The spokesperson confirmed that the suspects were in the act of cutting the motorway’s protective fence.
Patrolling officers acted swiftly and apprehended one suspect red-handed, while the other escaped.
Also, local police assisted in apprehending the second suspect.
Authorities recovered 60 meters of valuable security fence from the arrested suspect.
The spokesperson emphasized that the absence of security fencing allows animals to enter the motorway, potentially causing accidents.
The police handed over the recovered fence and the suspects to local authorities for further investigation.
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Dar Ali Khattak commended the officers for their effective response.
