Severe traffic congestion was reported across multiple major roads in Karachi on Friday morning, causing significant inconvenience for commuters as short trips turned into hours-long journeys.
Heavy traffic was observed on Shahrah-e-Faisal and its connecting roads, where the pressure of vehicles led to long queues and gridlocks. Major routes including I.I. Chundrigar Road, M.A. Jinnah Road, Liaquatabad, and Nazimabad experienced heavy traffic flow disruptions.
Reports indicated that areas around Saddar, Abdullah Haroon Road, and the Parking Plaza were clogged with vehicles, leaving citizens frustrated. Similar situations were observed on Napier Road, Nishter Road, and the Teen Hatti flyover, where traffic remained slow-moving.
Commuters heading to offices and schools faced difficulties at Jail Chowrangi, the old vegetable market area, Hassan Square, and Essa Nagri, where massive jams left vehicles stranded for extended periods.

Eyewitnesses noted the absence of traffic police personnel during peak congestion hours, criticizing their lack of presence and coordination. In many areas, frustrated drivers were seen trying to manage the traffic on their own.
Traffic police officials later attributed the chaos to rush hour pressure, stating that efforts were being made to restore normal flow.
