The Shangla police successfully thwarted a significant terrorist attack late at night on the Shikolai police post, according to IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hamid.
The militants launched their assault using both light and heavy weaponry, but the police responded swiftly and effectively, repelling the attackers.
Zulfiqar Hamid reported that the ensuing gunfight between the police and the militants lasted for a considerable duration, with the Shangla police executing a robust counteroffensive that forced the terrorists to retreat.
Highlighting the bravery exhibited by the Shangla police, the IG stated that their resolve remains strong, and they are fully equipped to confront any threat from terrorism.
He affirmed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police are capable of providing a vigorous and immediate response to any such attack.
