PIA flight narrowly avoids disaster as landing gear malfunctions

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight narrowly avoided an accident when one of its landing gears jammed during touchdown at Lahore Airport.

The aircraft managed to land safely using its other wheel.

According to sources, the issue originated from the runway in Karachi, where the landing gear was reportedly affected before the flight departed for Lahore.

Despite the malfunction, the pilot successfully executed a safe landing.

PIA’s flight safety team and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have launched an investigation into the incident.

A PIA spokesperson confirmed that the aircraft landed smoothly and safely in Lahore.

“The exact cause will be determined once the final report is completed,” the spokesperson added.
