Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar has issued a directive for heightened security measures throughout the province due to current national security issues.
In the last two days, numerous suspected individuals have been apprehended during various intelligence-based operations.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, these operations, alongside mock drills, are actively taking place across Punjab to address the evolving security landscape.
Dr. Usman Anwar reported that a total of 791 search and sweep operations and 7 mock drills have been executed in the province recently. These efforts have led to the arrest of fugitives and habitual offenders involved in serious crimes.
Authorities have also seized 3 Kalashnikovs, 30 rifles, 21 handguns, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition from the detained suspects.
